Why Kane has been so dominant in his current WWE run

The WWE had a great surprise for wrestling fans when former WWE Champion Kane made his return to Monday Night RAW several weeks ago to attack Roman Reigns, assisting Braun Strowman in defeating "The Big Dog" inside a steel cage.

Initially Kane was scheduled to team up with The Miz, The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro), and Strowman against the reuniting Shield (Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose) in the main event of Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC).

Unfortunately Reigns was infected by a viral illness that spread throughout the locker room and was forced out of the card. He was instead replaced by WWE Hall Of Famer and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle.

It seemed as though the beef between Reigns and Kane should've led to a rivalry between the pair down the line. The backstory element was certainly there, as Reigns retired Kane's storyline brother, The Undertaker, by defeating him at WrestleMania 33 this past April.

This would explain Kane's interference in Reigns and Strowman's Cage match on RAW. The tables turned when Kane and Strowman began to feud with one another at TLC as their team exploded from within.

Kane, The Miz, and The Bar all turned on Strowman and there him into a dumpster truck. On the RAWs afterwards Kane then began to establish himself as the true and only "Monster" of RAW by destroying some of the brand's top talents.

Over the past few weeks Kane has picked up victories over the likes of Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, some pretty big wins for someone who has been in the business as long as Kane.

Many professional wrestling fans have begun to wonder why "The Big Red Machine" is being pushed so hard on RAW as of late, and Wrestling Observer Radio has the answer.

The WWE wants to build up Kane to be an unstoppable force for a match-up with Braun Strowman. Strowman will, of course, go over in the match in order to make him look like an even stronger force himself.

The match between Kane and Strowman likely won't occur until December, however, Kane is expected to take out yet another top WWE Superstar in between that time - likely Dean Ambrose.

Upon Kane's exit from his current run it is expected that each member of The Shield and Finn Balor will avenge their loss to Kane so their character's strength isn't affected.

What are your thoughts on the WWE pushing Kane for a big showdown with Braun Strowman soon? Do you think that Kane's dominance should come at the expense of other top stars such as Seth Rollins and Finn Balor? Or should Kane be dominating smaller talents to help build himself up? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
