The Rock is one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time and he could pretty much have a match against anyone inside the squared circle and fans would pay to come and see it, simply because he's wrestling.
The Great One hasn't had a match since he had a 'heat of the moment' match with Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32 when The Wyatt Family confronted him when he was in the middle of the ring, defeating him in just six seconds.
The WWE Universe would love to see The Rock have another feud in the company before he decides to retire from wrestling for good, as it's been almost five years since his last major feud in the WWE against John Cena which culminated in a match at WrestleMania 29.
The People's Champion has teased a return for a match numerous times in the past, most notably when he came face to face backstage with Triple H with things getting a little heated between the two of them as they recalled previous matches against one another.
Still, although he has made off-screen appearances, The Rock hasn't appeared inside a ring since his forgettable WrestleMania 32 match, so during his appearance at Stan Lee's L.A. Comic-Con last weekend, a fan asked him which superstar on today's WWE roster would he like to wrestle against.
After shooting down a request from the crowd to wrestle AJ Styles, The Rock gave a list of three superstars on today's WWE roster which he would like to have a match against.
The Great One said: “One would be Triple H, The Game. The other would be The Beast, Brock Lesnar. The other one would be a guy that actually just needs my foot in his ass, Roman Reigns. Yeah.”
As we previously mentioned, WWE has already teased a match between The Rock and Triple H in the past, and The Game even added fuel to the fire recently by teasing he'd like to have a match against The People's Champion at WrestleMania.
The Rock vs Brock Lensar would be an interesting match as well, as the two have only faced each other twice in the past, once at WWE Global Warning in 2002 (a triple-threat alongside Triple H), and at SummerSlam in 2002 as well. The Great One won their first meeting while The Beast won their SummerSlam encounter.
The most intriguing opponent of the three has to be Roman Reigns, as the two have never had a match before. There's definitely a storyline there as both were heavily endorsed to the top of the WWE by Vince McMahon. The Rock could be the one to finally get Reigns over with the fans after he tried to endorse him after his Royal Rumble 2015 win.
WWE fans would love to see The Rock have another match with the company one day, and any of the three superstars he named would be great opponents for him.
