WWE has a match in mind for the Survivor Series PPV.

However, WWE changed their plans. As seen on this week’s episode of 205 Live in Norfolk, VA at the Scope Arena on the WWE Network, WWE has announced that Enzo Amore will defend the Cruiserweight Title against Kalisto at the Survivor Series PPV (pay-per-view) event.

This was not the original match. WWE wanted to book Team Enzo (with Noam Dar, Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari) vs. Team Kalisto (with Sin Cara, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and Rich Swann) in an eight-man tag team match at Survivor Series.

In 2006, Kalisto made his professional wrestling debut on the Midwestern United States independent circuit by working under a mask and the ring name Samuray del Sol.

After establishing himself as one of the best high-flyers in the area, he began working for larger promotions in 2011 and was signed by Dragon Gate USA in 2012. Also in that same year, he made his debut for Mexican promotion AAA, where, in November, he was repackaged as Octagón Jr.

Kalisto has also worked for Combat Zone Wrestling, Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South, National Wrestling Alliance, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. In May 2013, he signed with WWE and was assigned to their developmental territory NXT.

During his time in NXT, he won the won the NXT Tag Team Championship with Sin Cara in 2014. Fast forward to February 2015, Kalisto was promoted to WWE's main roster, and in January 2016, he won his first singles title in WWE, the United States Title, which is a title he has since held twice.

WWE officials are hoping that Amore’s appearances on 205 Live will help viewership of the struggling brand on the WWE Network. As seen on 205 Live, it has turned into the Enzo Amore Show with him having multiple segments on the show.

The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured. Here is the updated card:
