Top WWE star teases possible match with former champion

Charlotte Flair has challenged a former WWE Superstar to a match.

It’s been clear for a while now that she has taken the WWE by storm since being called up to the main roster in 2015 during the Women’s Revolution storyline.

She was not only a champion on the main roster but also in NXT. While she is her own woman now, at first she was portrayed as her real life personality then she started to come out of her father’s spotlight.

Flair is still trying to find herself while competing on the blue brand as a babyface. For the majority of her career, she has worked as a heel. However, when WWE decided to trade her to SmackDown Live earlier this year during the Superstar Shakeup, they turned her to a babyface.

In a post on Instagram, former WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool praised the book Second Nature by Ric and Charlotte Flair.

In a direct response to that post, Charlotte Flair teased a potential match between herself and McCool. You can see the exchange here:

McCool was best known for her time with the WWE when she was placed on the SmackDown brand. She is an inaugural, former two-time WWE Divas Champion and a two-time WWE Women's Champion and a one-time Diva of the Year.

She decided to leave her middle school teacher gig in Palatka, Florida and signed with the WWE in 2004 after participating in the 2004 WWE Diva Search.

When she made her debut, she acted primarily as a personal trainer and occasional wrestler. She also acted as the manager to the team of K. C. James and Idol Stevens, collectively known as the Teacher's Pets. However, in 2006, she decided to change her on-screen character to that of a teacher.

At The Great American Bash in 2008, McCool became the inaugural WWE Divas Champion, holding the title for approximately five months.

She would go onto to win the WWE Women's Championship at The Bash in 2009, which marked the first female wrestler to have held both titles. Moving along to 2010 at the Night of Champions PPV (pay-per-view) event, she unified both titles becoming the first and only WWE Unified Divas Champion.

Moving along to 2011 at the Extreme Rules PPV event, McCool was pinned by Layla, forcing her to leave WWE.

Afterwards, she was attacked by the debuting Kharma to write her out. She’s married to The Undertaker and has occasionally been seen on WWE TV at ringside for events.
