A huge name could appear on an upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw.

In January 2018, WWE will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the launch of Monday Night Raw. The sports entertainment company will hold a special edition of the show on January 12th, 2018 and it will be held in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center (close to the Manhattan Center, which hosted the first Raw).

Also, WWE will release the 25th Anniversary of Raw DVD set.The made its debut back January 11, 1993 on the USA Network and since then, it has been considered as the flagship program of WWE.

According to Pwinsider.com, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could make a special appearance on the show. However, it is likely that it would not be a physical appearance, but via satellite or a pre-recorded video due to his busy Hollywood schedule.

Raw moved from the USA Network to The Nashville Network in September 2000, which was rebranded to Spike TV in August 2003. The on October 3, 2005, Raw returned to the USA Network, where it remains today.

The Rock is regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He picked up his popularity in the mainstream while working in the WWE from 1996 to 2004 and was the first third-generation wrestler in the company's history. He returned to WWE part-time from 2011–13 and continues to make sporadic appearances for the company.

During his time with the company, he is an eight-time WWE Champion, two-time WCW/World Champion, two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion and a five-time WWE Tag Team Champion. He is the sixth Triple Crown Champion in WWE and won the 2000 Royal Rumble.

The 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw will emanate from Barclays Center and Manhattan Center in New York City on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, and air live on USA Network at 8/7 C. Tickets are available for each event starting this Friday, Nov. 3, through all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

Superstars from both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown LIVE will be at Barclays Center, while the event at Manhattan Center, the site of the first episode of Raw, will feature both WWE Superstars competing, plus special appearances by WWE Legends Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash, among others. VIP packages, including a meet and greet with a WWE Legend, will be available for fans at Manhattan Center.
