Tyson Fury met one of his idols and "the GOAT" in his eyes during last night`s boxing event in Monaco. The name is Roy Jones Jr., six-time world champion in four weight classes, having held titles at middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight, and currently the WBF (Foundation) cruiserweight champion at the age of 48!
Fury and Jones Jr. have met last tonight as Jones works for HBO as a commentator and Fury attended the event in Monaco watching the fights as a fan.
Fury was there to watch his fellow heavyweight Dereck Chisora’s fight, which he lost by majority points decision.
Chisora was probably an option for Fury as a comeback fight, before facing Anthony Joshua later in 2018 in what would be Britain's biggest fight ever.
Well, the night did not go well for Chisora , but it was not all bad news for Fury - he got to meet one of his idols, fellow heavyweight Roy Jones Jr.
"The Gipsy king" posted a picture of the pair on Twitter and shared his positive opinion on one of two men to win a middleweight and heavyweight title in boxing history.
Fury looks to be back in the game. He has been meeting a number of fans over the last couple of days in Monaco taking pictures everywhere he can, as many fans continue to call for his comeback.
His hair and style look well-treated and he admitted himself that he quit drinking some days ago. However, he is far from the desired shape, but it is a transformation he admits to be an easy job for him.
Fury confirmed his comeback earlier this week for 2018, but besides returning to shape, he needs to wait for the UKAD hearing over his ban.
Getting his boxing license back will be easy for Tyson Fury once he fulfills the above two.
