It was yet another shocking performance from Arsenal in a big Premier League away game. The Gunners arrived at the Etihad on Saturday in a rather uninspiring run of form. They had to scrape past Swansea in their last league fixture and midweek versus Red Star Belgrade, their reserve team was shocking.Arsene Wenger made some big calls prior to kickoff, handing Francis Coquelin his first league start since May and putting Alexis Sanchez up top.Amazingly, top scorer Alexandre Lacazette was dropped. In the end, City essentially strolled to victory, winning 3-1 on their home turf and taking their winning run to 15 in all competitions, a record for an English team.Kevin de Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus notched the goals, with Lacazette coming off the bench to make it 2-1.But, City were simply too strong, outplaying the Gunners in virtually every department across the pitch. The main area of domination was in midfield, with De Bruyne, Fernandinho and David Silva destroying the questionable pivot of Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka. The latter has come in for a barrage of criticism this season and despite Sanchez turning in a fairly inept display, it was Xhaka who bore the brunt of the fans' rage.

ARSENAL FANS FED UP WITH XHAKA

You can't really blame them, with Xhaka turning in another display which highlights all of his flaws, which are mainly linked to his athletic ability.

He was slow, predictable and even his passing was way below his usual standard.

He was eventually subbed off by Wenger for Jack Wilshere, but in the end, it was all too late.

Questions will now surely be raised over whether the Swiss international is worth of a starting place in Wenger's staring XI.

Coquelin was actually not too bad, Mohamed Elneny has been okay this season and Wilshere looks like getting back to full fitness.

The writing is certainly on the wall for the £35m man.
