The 20-year-old Dutch racer, Max Verstappen, revealed his greatest mistake in his short but illustrious career in an interview with Formula1.

When asked the question, Verstappen quickly answered with an event during the 2015 Monaco Grand Prix referring to when he crashed in the pit lane and created a very dangerous position for himself.

It was a very dangerous crash for the 17-year-old at the time, who misjudged the situation around him and crashed into another driver, tearing off the front-left of his car and sent his vehicle at high speed towards the barrier of the course.

Thankfully for the Belgian he walked out of the car unscathed from the potentially very dangerous situation. Despite coming out not hurt from the incident, it remains Verstappen's most embarrassing mistake thus far into his racing career.

The young Belgian clearly learned from mistakes as in the following year he became the youngest ever driver to win the Spanish Grand Prix.

Following that major triumph, Verstappen capitalised on a positive year that saw him rank fifth in Formula One World Championship amongst all drivers. Verstappen most recently won the 2017 Mexican Grand Prix, adding one more title to the impressive list that is beginning to form for the star.
