Tiger Woods, one of the most successful golfers of all time, is on the verge of returning to the sport.
After some years of health problems and personal issues, it seems that the 14-time professional champion is about to participate in the Hero World Challenge at the end of November.
Woods, 41, was struggling to find himself and his form after facts from his personal life became known to the public some years ago.
However, Woods has now revealed he is back to his best, which will surely pose a threat to the other competitors.
"I can't believe how far I am hitting the golf ball!'' Tiger Woods exclaimed on the Holding Court.
"I am back to hitting it my full numbers and not really trying to do that."
“I did not realise how much I had dropped off because of the pain in my back and from me going at it and hitting it normal just because I just lived it from day to day and I really could not tell the difference. But now I can tell the difference.”
But, the American does have some issues with the modern state of golf.
WOODS' CONCERN
"We need to do something about the golf ball," he said.
Although modern golf balls are helping him get back to his best, he is not sure they are good for the future of sport as a whole.
"I just think it is going too far, because we are having to build golf courses, if they want to have a championship venue, they have got to be 7,400 to 7,800 yards long."
"And if the game keeps progressing the way it is with technology, I think the 8,000-yard golf course is not too far away."
“And that is pretty scary because we do not have enough property to start designing these type of golf courses, and it just makes it so much more complicated."
"The USGA's already looking at it. They are doing some research on what would the world look like if you rolled back 10 percent, 15 percent and 20 percent."
It has been four years since Tiger Woods won his last Major and even finished in top three. Hopefully all the problems are behind him so he can enjoy the sport again and, of course, we can enjoy him playing.
