The entire WWE roster has undergone a lot over the past several months, and one of the biggest stories coming out of WWE was the dispute between Nia Jax the the company.

Over the past several months wrestling fans have seen stars such as Jack Swagger, Austin Aries, and Neville walk away from the company after being unhappy with the way they were being used (or not being used at all) on WWE TV. In addition to this, WWE recently cut three notable names in Emma, Darren Young, and Summer Rae.

Just prior to their major Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV) event last month, a case of the mumps ran rampant throughout the WWE locker room and affected several key WWE Superstars.

Originally The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose) was scheduled to reunite at TLC and take on the team of The Miz, The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro), Kane, and Braun Strowman. Reigns was unfortunately affected by the mumps and was forced to be replaced by WWE Hall Of Famer and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle.

Bray Wyatt was also affected and was taken out of his scheduled match with Finn Balor, and was replaced by SmackDown Live's AJ Styles. One of the more shocking occurrences on the WWE roster, however, was the rumored issues between Nia Jax and the WWE.

Jax was reportedly upset with the way she was being booked and wanted more money. It was also reported that her cousin, The Rock, advised her to walk out on WWE. Jax has since returned to action on WWE TV after taking a 'leave of absence.'

She recently did an interview with "The Mirror" to discuss her time off of WWE and stated that she was simply resting (quotes via IWNerd):

“Thank you. Well actually I had live events off for the last couple of weeks because that’s just how it worked out, for cycling and stuff, so I got a little rest from TV because I wasn’t in anything storyline-wise, so I had a little rest there.

"But yeah, it’s been great. I love what we do, I love the storytelling, especially being such a different character and obviously a different size than everybody, we get to play on that and it’s always cool to see where we can go in the ring.”

What are your thoughts on Jax's comments regarding her status with WWE? Do you think that there was an actual dispute between herself and the company? And did The Rock really advise her to walk out on WWE in order to give herself some leverage in negotiations? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
