The narrative WWE is painting as we head into Survivor Series is a RAW vs. SmackDown angle as the two brands battle it out for superiority.

While fans thought things would initially be friendly competition between the two brands, as they each have babyface leaders in Kurt Angle on RAW, and Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan on SmackDown Live.

Those tables turned very quickly as Shane McMahon essentially turned heel and invaded RAW with his SmackDown stars, laying waste to RAW's Superstars and its locker room.

At the Survivor Series event later this month, all champions from SmackDown Live and RAW will be going against one another; while of course the traditional Elimination Tag Team match between RAW and SmackDown will be taking place as well for both the men and women. Shane McMahon and Kurt Angle will serve as captains for their respective teams.

For years now, perhaps even since the inception of the show, SmackDown has been referred to as WWE's 'B Show.' It's widely believed (and proven in its writing) that more favor is being shown to RAW when it comes to creative effort being put into the show.

This is something that Ms. Money In The Bank and SmackDown Live star Carmella doesn't understand, as she recently opened up on the matter in a recent interview with The Sun (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"I don't know where people get that Smackdown is the B show – I couldn't disagree more. Ever since the draft happened I know all the women in our locker room came together and vowed to make us the A show and show we are the best women's division.

"It's nice to have that rivalry because it makes you work that much harder and you always want to be better than the other side."

It should be interesting to see how much favor RAW is shown when it comes to the booking of Survivor Series later this month.

What are your thoughts on Carmella saying she doesn't understand why SmackDown Live is referred to as the 'B Show?' Is this how you view SmackDown Live? And what can WWE do to get this label off of SmackDown Live from WWE fans? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
