Tevez and Adebayor on target for City

Football News

Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor struck either side of the interval to give Manchester City a 2-0 victory in their local derby.

Tevez drove home his 19th goal of the season from the penalty spot after star man Adam Johnson had been fouled, then Adebayor exposed some woeful Bolton defending to seal the win with an excellent finish.

The result means City only trail fourth-placed Liverpool on goal difference, while Bolton continue to dangle precariously over the drop zone.
