For the first time since the days of Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, the boxing world is primarily focused on the heavyweight division. The likes of Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao stole the limelight for many years in the lower weight classes but now, the big boys are the names on everyones lips. The three main people are Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. In the past few weeks, the number of stories surrounding the trio has been frankly ridiculous, with Fury sending the boxing world into chaos by announcing he intends to return to the ring to fight both Joshua and Wilder. Then, there is the much-anticipated unification fight between the 2012 Olympic champion and the Bronze Bomber, which will surely occur in 2018.Wilder has called out Joshua on a number of occasions, with his latest coming after his stunning first-round knockout of Bermane Stiverne on Saturday evening.

WILDER'S A BIG FAN OF FURY

It does seem a distinct possibility that the American will welcome the Gypsy King into the ring at some point, with both seemingly very keen on the fight.

They've both engaged in some very entertaining trash talk so far but now, it seems they have both taken the high road, particularly Wilder.

He spoke to the BBC and explained just how important Fury has been to British boxing.

WILDER'S KIND WORDS

"I love him as a person and a fighter," said Wilder. "A guy like that, charismatic, entertaining, you must respect because he's different. People don't want to understand different.

"If it wasn't for Tyson Fury, England wouldn't be on the map like it is. I feel he should be more respected in that country than he is.

"They should give him his licence back. He is still a human being and should be allowed to get on with his life. He is still the champion in a lot of people's eyes, he has not been beaten yet."

FURY BELIEVES WILDER WOULD BEAT AJ

The Gypsy King also chipped in with some compliments, tweeting that he believes the American would have the advantage in a unification fight.

A fight between the two charismatic fighters would be joy to watch, although, Fury will have to spend a lot of time in the gym before that can happen.
