Detroit won their sixth game in seven tries by shooting 51.8 percent from the floor and dominating the glass by a 50-to-38 margin. Andre Drummond (14/21/4) owned the boards with another double-double while Tobias Harris (23/8/1) and Reggie Jackson (18/3/6) also had solid games. Victor Oladipo (21/3/2) led the Pacers in scoring, but Indiana's early momentum and lead was erased by a lopsided second quarter in which Detroit outscored them 37-to-22. From there, the Pistons extended their seven-point halftime lead to 17 by pulling away in the fourth.

Magic (7-4) 112; Knicks (6-5) 99

Playing without Kristaps Porzingis (ankle), the Knicks relied on Tim Hardaway Jr. (26/11/1) and he delivered, going 11-of-21 from the floor. No other Knick attempted more than seven shots in the loss. The Magic were led by the trio of Nikola Vucevic (24/5/1), Evan Fournier (23/2/5) and Aaron Gordon (21/4/1) and point guard Elfrid Payton (11/6/11) had a double-double in his return from injury. Orlando dished out 31 assists and had just 12 turnovers, which was 11 fewer than the 23 turnovers that New York had.

Celtics (10-2) 107; Lakers (5-6) 96

Al Horford (concussion) missed the game, but backup center Aron Baynes (21/8/3) stepped in and dominated the paint for the Celtics, leading the team in scoring after playing just 23 minutes. Kyrie Irving (19/6/5) and Marcus Morris (18/1/2) were the two other Celtics starters to score in double-figures. Boston rookie Jayson Tatum (ankle) left the game in the first quarter. Brandon Ingram (18/7/1), Jordan Clarkson (18/5/2) and Julius Randle (16/12/2) led Los Angeles in scoring, but the Lakers shot a miserable 5-of-24 from three-point range in the loss.

Heat (5-6) 126; Suns (4-8) 115

Goran Dragic (29/9/4) got revenge on his former team, going 10-of-10 from the free-throw line in the victory. After getting benched last game, Hassan Whiteside (23/10/1) had a double-double and rejected four shots in just 28 minutes. Miami dominated the glass by a wide 53-to-34 margin. Devin Booker (30/3/6) did the best he could to keep the game close, but the Heat got off to a 69-54 lead by halftime and held on.

Warriors (9-3) 125; Timberwolves (7-4) 101

Kevin Durant (thigh) missed the game, but Klay Thompson (28/5/3) and Stephen Curry (22/8/8) shouldered the load for the Warriors, who won their fifth-straight game and eighth game out of nine opportunities overall. After getting off to a slow start with 22 points in the first quarter, Golden State came out firing after halftime, scoring a season-high 44 points in the third quarter to gain a large lead. All five Timberwolves starters scored in double-figures, but no one topped 17 points. Minnesota went just 5-of-24 from three while Golden State went 15-of-36. The Warriors also had a ridiculous 37 assists on 48 made field goals.
