We now know why WWE wanted two legends to work recent live events.

Those legends are Triple H and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. The Raw General Manager teamed up with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose against The Bar and Samoa Joe in a six-man tag team match at WWE live event in Birmingham, England at the Barclaycard Arena. The Shield hit a triple powerbomb to pick up the win.

On November 1, Triple H teamed up with The Shield members at a live event in Glasgow, Scotland, wearing the full Shield outfit, against Bray Wyatt & The Bar. He has also wrestled at several other events this month.

due to medical concerns Roman Reigns had been removed from the scheduled 3-on-5 TLC match between The Shield and the team of The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Braun Strowman, and Kane at the TLC PPV (pay-per-view) event at the Target Center in Minnesota, Minneapolis on the WWE Network.

Reigns was replaced by Angle. This match marked Angle’s first WWE match in 11 years. It was a special moment, to say the least.

As to why WWE had these Superstars work the events, F4WOnline.com is reporting that the reason the sports entertainment company is due to the WWE feeling that more star power is needed with Reigns being out of action.

This is the same reason that they had former SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day work Raw events as well.

Reigns has been cleared to return to the ring from the viral infection that had been going around the WWE locker room. He last competed on October 16th episode of Raw by losing a Steel Cage match to Braun Strowman.

WWE has already announced that Reigns is set to appear on next week’s episode of Raw. It’s been reported that WWE will announce The Shield vs. The New Day at Survivor Series on Raw.

Angle will return to in-ring action to lead a Raw team against a SmackDown Live team at the Survivor Series. If Team Raw doesn’t win at Survivor Series, then Angle will no longer be Raw GM.

The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured.
