There’s very little doubt that Zinedine Zidane was one of the greatest players to have ever played the game.Having represented both Juventus and Real Madrid over the course of 10 seasons, the Frenchman dominated European football.Three league titles, a Champions League, a European Championship and a World Cup are all sitting in Zidane’s personal trophy cabinet as a player. Not to mention the individual awards of the 1998 Ballon d’Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 1998, 2000 and 2003.Even the way he bowed out of the game was legendary in a way.Zidane’s last act as a player was to headbutt Marco Materazzi in the chest during the 2006 World Cup final - behaviour that saw him sent-off as his French side eventually lost on penalties to Italy. But did you know that Zidane once took the worst corner ever during his early days? No, neither did we.However, a video of him doing just that whilst playing for Juventus is doing the rounds on social media.Zidane tries to play a shot corner to a teammate but proceeds to just kick it straight out for a goal-kick.Madness.

Watch: Zidane's awful corner

Just take a look:

Wow.

We can’t remember ever seeing a corner-kick quite that bad.

However, there is one corner that does come to mind when talking about ‘the worst corner ever.’

We’re looking at you, Iago Aspas.

Liverpool were in desperate need of a goal during their title clash against Chelsea back in 2014 when they were awarded a corner in injury-time.

They allowed Aspas to take it but the Spaniard only proceeded to pass the ball straight to the away side, killing Liverpool’s last chance to salvage a crucial point.

Watch: Iago Aspas' corner

Take a look:

We wouldn’t blame Aspas for feeling a little relieved after seeing Zidane’s set-piece because he’ll know that he is no longer the taker of ‘the worst corner ever.’
