Remember back in May, when Antoine Griezmann seemed to sign for Manchester United? The Frenchman sent the rumour mill into overdrive when he admitted on French TV programme Quotidien that the chance of him moving to Old Trafford in the summer was six out of 10.Griezmann would go on to tell L’Equipe: “Today, if I have to move, it will not be a problem for me. It may be England, which is in fashion, Germany, China or the United States, I’m ready to go.“We [Atletico Madrid] finished third in La Liga, it was the objective of the club, but we, the players, want more.

“Winning titles is what I will look for this summer when deciding on my future.”

The 26-year-old would go on to commit his future to Atletico and the chatter has since died down.

That’s partly a result of Man United’s positive start to the season - Jose Mourinho’s side went 12 matches unbeaten to start the campaign, suggesting Griezmann wasn’t a necessity - as well as the France international’s poor form.

Griezmann has found the net just three times for Atleti in 2017-18 - not a good return for a player who could command a £100 million fee.

Griezmann spotted Pogba on Friday

Yet Griezmann produced a brilliant display in France’s 2-0 victory over Wales on Friday and then gave Man United fans a moment to get excited about when he spotted Paul Pogba in the dressing room at full-time.

Pogba, who hasn’t played since September due to injury, was handed out handshakes to all of his Les Bleus colleagues - but it was Griezmann who was the most happiest to see him, giving the Man United midfielder a warm hug right at the end of the clip.

“My friend,” Pogba said when he spotted Griezmann. “Oh it feels good to see you my friend!”

Griezmann added a tweet about the moment.

Here’s how Man United fans reacted.

Is Agent P, who helped convinced Romelu Lukaku to swap Everton for Man United in the summer, at it again?

We might find out next summer.
