Ronaldinho lights up Mexico peace match

The match between the "Stars of Europe" and the "Stars of America" took place in Queretaro, for whom Ronaldinho played in the 2014-15 season.

As a result, Puyol and Ronaldinho were on opposing teams, but that didn't stop the latter from scoring a quite brilliant long-range goal in the 63rd-minute.

As you can see in the video below, Ronaldinho levelled the scores with a controlled, volleyed chip from nearly 40 yards out which flew over a stranded goalkeeper into the net.

If that wasn't enough, the 37-year-old responded after Europe regained the lead with a wonderful assist in true Ronaldinho style.

After evading a couple of challenges, he produced a lovely flick over the defence, allowing Gabriel to finish from close range and make it 2-2.

The Stars of America went onto win the game 5-4 in a penalty shoot-out, but spectators at the game will undoubtedly remember the event for Ronaldinho's classy contributions.

The 2002 World Cup winner last played professionally for Fluminense in 2015, so matches like these allow Ronaldinho the chance to still bring joy to football lovers around the world.
