Macc draw a blank: Match Review

Macclesfield's failure to convert their chances cost them all three points in a goalless draw against lacklustre Accrington.

Keith Alexander's men hit the woodwork twice but a lack of composure in front of goal saw them stumble to their 12th draw of the season.

They squandered a golden chance when Ross Draper picked out Ben Wright, who controlled neatly only to lump an eight-yard volley over the bar.

Shaun Brisley then rose above the Stanley defence only to head Isak Reid's cross against the foot of the post.

After the break Accrington keeper Ian Dunbavin palmed Craig Lindfield's shot onto the post.

Jimmy Ryan went close for Accrington at the death, sliding a 20-yard drive just wide.
