The National Football League (NFL) may have witnessed the birth of a new star earlier today (Sun. November 12, 2017) during the Washington Redskins vs. Minnesota Vikings game.25-year-old Maurice Harris has been trying to get his feet wet in the NFL for the past year and finally made a name for himself earlier today when given the opportunity. Harris went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft but was signed to the Washington Redskins the following month.Harris wasn't able to make the Redskins final roster, but was signed to the team's practice squad the very next day. In October of 2016 Harris got his opportunity in the NFL when he was promoted to the active roster after wide receiver Josh Doctson suffered an injury. In week 10 of the season Harris caught his first NFL pass in a game against the Minnesota Vikings and finished the game with 28 receiving yards. He was waived by the Redskins this past September but was again signed to their practice squad the following day.Harris was again promoted to the active roster for today's game against the Minnesota Vikings, and made himself known with a Catch Of The Year candidate grab for a touchdown. He hauled in a ridiculous 36-yard one-handed grab for a touchdown and was able to land a knee in the endzone to get the score. The catch marked Harris' ninth catch in an NFL game. Check it out here:

With that ridiculous grab you can bet that you'll see Harris on the field a lot more for the Redskins moving forward. If he's able to make more catches like that one he'll be a force to be reckoned with on the gridiron in no time for sure.

What are your thoughts on Harris' ridiculous one-handed touchdown grab? Do you think he has what it takes to propel himself into a starting role in Washington? Or was this simply a catch of good luck? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
