Peterborough manager Jim Gannon will be without defender Tom Williams for the visit of fellow strugglers Ipswich.

Williams has started all three games since Gannon took charge at London Road but has been allowed to join former Posh boss Darren Ferguson at Preston in a loan move.

Scott Griffiths is likely to come back into the side on the left of a three-man defence while striker Craig Mackail-Smith is hoping for a recall after being left out of the 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Centre-half Gabriel Zakuani is still out with his groin injury but Gannon has no further injury problems as he looks for a second home win of his brief reign.

Saturday's defeat left Posh 12 points adrift of safety with just 45 more points available.

Ipswich manager Roy Keane could welcome back winger Lee Martin to his squad.

The former Manchester United midfielder has been out since the end of January with a hamstring problem.

Keane's side had a free weekend so have had a full seven days since their last fixture - a 2-1 win at QPR - and will be looking for three more points on the road to climb away from the relegation zone.

On-loan Sunderland forward Daryl Murphy is certain to keep his place after scoring in both appearances for the club so far, while Black Cats team-mate David Healy will hope for a recall alongside him in attack.

Goalkeeper Richard Wright is closing in on a return as he steps up his recovery from a knee injury sustained in November but Argentinian winger Luciano Civelli is not due back until September from his knee injury.
