Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira is thriving in La Liga and he's offered some very interesting quotes on his future in an interview with Super Deporte.

The 21-year-old went on a season-long loan to Valencia against Jose Mourinho's wishes - but could be recalled by his Portuguese manager in January.

"Andreas Pereira was a personal decision that I don't agree with," Mourinho said in September. "A decision I don't think honestly I don't think is the best decision for him, a decision that disappoints me a little bit, because I think he has the potential to be here fighting for a position, for opportunities, and fighting to be a Manchester United player.

"We have the option to bring him back on January 1, so we have that situation under control. It is not a drama but is a decision that disappoints me a little bit."

With Paul Pogba sidelined with a hamstring injury, Manchester United have been lacking creativity in midfield as of late.

Pogba is expected to make his first-team return in the coming weeks but Mourinho must surely be considering recalling Pereira.

The young Brazilian made his Man United debut back in 2014 but is still yet to start a Premier League game for the Red Devils.

Pereira speaks about his future

Interviewed during the international break, Pereira said some things that will certainly worry Man United supporters.

"Everything is going very well, the whole squad is happy here," said Pereira to Super Deporte. "We want to keep this, I think everyone wants to stay here."

Pressed specifically if he would like to be at Valencia next season, the United loanee responded: "Sure, it's a very good option for me, it would be positive. I'm happy at Valencia CF."

Questioned whether he has considered returning to United, the Brazilian added: "No, no. I am well here and I have always though that I made the right decision in the summer [by joining Valencia]. I am very happy and I want to continue in Valencia CF."

"Yes, I want to be here, help Valencia until June. I came with that thought, I know that there is a clause in the contract [for United to recall me in January] and now I have to wait to see. But my mind is focused on Valencia and I want to stay here," Pereira said.

"It is important that I am playing to grow, improve and help Valencia. It would be very difficult to return to United at mid-season and continue with the same evolution that I'm having now here."
