Eddie Guerrero is one of the most beloved champions in the history of not only the WWE, but the professional wrestling industry as a whole. When Guerrero's death hit the morning news on the day of November 13th in 2005, the entire wrestling world took it hard.

"Latino Heat" still lives on in the WWE today as he is widely considered to be the innovator of the Frog Splash finisher and he has inspired the likes of Sasha Banks in today's crop of new stars. The former WWE, United States, and Intercontinental Champion has had some amazing moments in his Hall Of Fame career, but today we're going to pick the top five of the bunch.

Without further ado, here are our top five greatest moments of the incredible career of Eddie Guerrero:

5) His on-screen relationship with Chyna

In March of 2000 during his early days with WWE Guerrero began to grow an on-screen infatuation with Chyna. Chyna was then aligned with Chris Jericho and initially declined his advances. During a one-on-on match with Jericho for the European Title, however, Chyna betrayed Jericho and helped Guerrero win the title.

Chyna explained that she couldn't resist Guerrero's "Latino Heat" as her reason for assisting him. Some friction between the two would then begin to build on-screen as Guerrero 'accidentally' pinned Chyna to win the Intercontinental Title in a Triple Threat match with Kurt Angle, and Guerrero also was upset with Chyna posing for Playboy Magazine.

Guerrero and Chyna at one point got engaged on WWE TV, however, it was called off when video footage caught Guerrero showering with one of The Godfather's hoes. He could be heard saying that two Mamacitas are better than one"

4) Beating Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 20

After Guerrero won the first and only WWE Championship of his career, Kurt Angle earned the opportunity to challenge him for the strap by defeating John Cena and The Big Show in a No. 1-contenders Triple Threat match.

The pair went head-to-head at WrestleMania 20 and put on an absolutely fantastic match. Guerrero lived by the motto "Lie, Cheat, and Steal," and in this match he really utilized the 'cheating' factor in that slogan.

After being held in the Ankle Lock for some time Guerrero was able to escape and Angle rolled out of the ring to catch he breath. While he did so Guerrero loosened up his boot to apparently relieve the pain.

It was, in fact, a much smarter tactic than that, however; as when Angle locked in the Ankle Lock again Guerrero was able to slip out of the boot and roll up the former Olympic gold medalist for the pinfall victory.

3) Guerrero reemerges to celebrate with Chris Benoit at WrestleMania 20

On that very same night at WrestleMania 20, in the main event of the evening, Chris Benoit defeated WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H and Shawn Michaels in a Triple Threat match for the World Championship.

It was a truly emotional moment for Benoit after winning his first major World Title, but to make things even more emotional; Guerrero, who was one of Benoit's best friends, emerged out of nowhere to congratulate "The Rabid Wolverine" with a hug.

Although the moment more so belonged to Benoit, it lives on today as one of the most memorable and emotional moments in Wrestle Mania history - and truly shows the class Eddie Guerrero had for his friends and the professional wrestling business.

2) Storyline with Rey Mysterio and his son

One of Guerrero's final runs as a heel came when he betrayed his tag team partner Rey Mysterio after a few miscommunications in matches, and began feuding with "The Master Of The 619." Guerrero would repeatedly attack Mysterio, and also teased that he had a big secret about Mysterio's personal life.

A match was made between the pair at The Great American Bash in 2005, and if Guerrero won he'd reveal the secret. Although Guerrero lost the bout, he still revealed the secret and announced that he was the true father of Mysterio's son, Dominic.

Guerrero claimed that Mysterio's wife cheated on him with Eddie years ago, and he was the true father of Dominic but still allowed Rey to claim custody of the child. This led to a ladder match between Guerrero and Mysterio at SummerSlam, with custody of Dominic on the line.

Fans were extremely invested in this storyline at the time, and it remains one of the greatest angles WWE has ever put on.

1) Defeating Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Title

This was probably one of the greatest moments in the history of WWE, as one of WWE fans' most beloved Superstars finally found his way to the top of the mountain.

On a January 29th edition of SmackDown in 2004, Guerrero won a 15-Man Battle Royal to earn the No. 1-contender's spot for the WWE Championship. He was then set to go one-on-one with then-WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at No Way Out.

Guerrero was a heavy underdog against Lesnar and nobody was expecting "Latino Heat" to walk out champion. Lesnar greatly dominated the bout with Guerrero not getting in much offense, in not any at all.

It was Goldberg, however, who assisted Guerrero in winning the title. Stone Cold Steve Austin gave Goldberg a front row ticket to the show, and during Lesnar's match, he came in and Speared Lesnar, which allowed Guerrero to hit the Frog Splash for the three count and the win.

Guerrero had finally culminated a life-long time's worth of work into achieving his dream - winning the WWE Championship.
