It's been a weird old time in Anthony Martial's international career. The French winger burst onto the scene when he signed for Manchester United from Monaco for a record fee for a teenage player and enjoyed a stunning debut campaign. However, in Jose Mourinho's first season in 2016/17, Martial was sub-standard, spending most of his time on the bench as Marcus Rashford excelled in a wide role. But, in 2017/18, Martial looks back to his old self, scoring virtually every time he takes to the pitch, including a match-wining strike in the 1-0 victory over Tottenham a few weeks back.As such, Didier Deschamps saw fit to recall him to a national setup, with a ridiculous amount of attacking talent available at his disposal.Against Germany on Tuesday evening, Martial was handed a start alongside Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe, with Olivier Giroud out injured. And it didn't take them long to show why they could be such a deadly combination up top, with the United man providing a sumptuous assist for Lacazette.Martial downright disrespected the German backline, fooling them in the box with his close control and teeing up the Arsenal man to stroke into an empty net.Just watch below and marvel at his enormous talent.

With the ball at his feet, few are better than Martial and that chop is deadly enough to beat any of the world's best defenders.

Naturally, Twitter picked up on the assist and reacted in the only way possible, with sheer amazement.

TWITTER REACTS

What a few people pointed out is that the goal was a classic FIFA 'sweaty goal', passing across the goalkeeper to score with relative ease.

And it seems even Germany's official Twitter account picked up the link to the EA Sports game.

At least they can laugh at themselves, it is only a friendly.

When it comes to the competitive stuff, Die Mannschaft will probably be tearing teams to pieces once again, like they usually do.
