Joseph Parker was one of three boxers, along with Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, that Anthony Joshua aimed fire at on Twitter last week.Joshua finally cracked after weeks of being antagonised by the trio on social media and via the press. Before focusing on Wilder and Fury, British boxing’s golding boy first had a message for Parker.Posting the meme of Kermit the Frog drinking tea, Joshua wrote: “@joeboxerparker Sips tea, continues to read tweets & refreshes email.. Still No Offer.”

However, the chances of Joshua and Parker fighting in 2018 are fading fast.

Parker's promoter has given up on Joshua fight

Parker’s promoter admits he’s “pretty much given up” on the Joshua fight after receiving a “ridiculously low offer” from Eddie Hearn.

"I got this weird email from Eddie's email address, but he must have been hacked," Higgins told Sky Sports. "He made the most ridiculously low offer. It could have been the most insulting offer in boxing history.

"To expect 40 per cent is actually quite reasonable, because you have earned it, and it's a unification.

"Of course I have mentioned it [to Joseph Parker] and he just laughed like I did.”

But Tyson Fury hasn't

However, one person who thinks the fight could still happen next year is Tyson Fury.

The former world heavyweight champion, who hopes to fight Joshua himself in 2018, posted a tweet about the potential bout earlier this afternoon.

However, there’s every chance it could end up backfiring spectacularly on the Manchester-born fighter.

The 29-year-old tweeted: “If Anthony Joshua fights Joseph Parker I will bet anybody in the world £5000 cash the parker will ko him?”

Fury's followers can't believe his generosity

Needless to say, many of Fury’s followers are keen to take him up on his generous offer…

What do the bookies think will happen?

SkyBet have Joshua v Parker priced up and they’re convinced there would only be one winner - and it’s not Fury’s tip.

Joshua is 1/25 on to win the fight, with Parker priced at 8/1 to cause a huge shock.

Delete your tweet before it’s too late, Tyson.
