WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair made an emotional appearance on WWE SmackDown Live.

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Charlotte, NC at the Spectrum Center on the USA Network, Charlotte Flair defeated Natalya to win the SmackDown Women’s Title.

Now, Flair will go on to face Alexa Bliss in a singles match at Survivor Series while Natalya is set to join the five women team that will take on the Raw women in the elimination match.

The post-match segment saw a surprise appearance by the WWE Hall of Famer, who came out to greet his daughter. It was a great moment that was received well by fans, which you can see here.

Flair is also set to attend WWE Starrcade on November 25th in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Greensboro Coliseum. Charlotte recently appeared on Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast and during the interview, she opened up on Ric’s health issues.

“I had just got back from China. I got there and I was like, okay I know it’s serious and the doctor was honest with us and said that my dad wasn’t breathing on his own and they didn’t want to do the surgery, but if they didn’t do the surgery then he was going to die.

But they couldn’t say he was going to make it out of the surgery and his chances weren’t great so she told us to say our goodbyes. Me and my sister and my brother were like what the ….. How do you say goodbye to someone who wasn’t there? With my dad it’s like he is unbreakable so you don’t take it serious, but knowing that my dad never gets sick we were like okay, something is wrong.”

The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured.

WWE sent out the following about the emotional moment:

Ever since she journeyed into the SmackDown locker room as part of the 2017 Superstar Shake-up, Charlotte Flair’s main goal has been to capture the SmackDown Women’s Championship. And as she stepped into the ring to battle Natalya in her hometown of Charlotte, N.C., the opportunity to fulfill her quest couldn’t have been more natural. Woo!

At the height of her hard-fought slugfest against longstanding rival Natalya, Charlotte broke out of the Sharpshooter and, moments later, locked in the excruciating Figure-Eight Leglock to capture the illustrious SmackDown Women's Title by making The Queen of Harts tap.

During an in-ring interview after her epic win, Charlotte was focused squarely on her now-established match against Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss at Survivor Series, but her heart was with her father.

Months after nearly losing Ric Flair to illness, she dedicated her title victory to The Nature Boy, who she thought was watching at home. However, while she was walking back up the ramp, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer surprisingly emerged onto the stage for one of the most emotional moments in SmackDown history, as father and daughter embraced in a championship hug.
