The Buffalo Bills have made a big change. The National Football League team current sits 5-4 thus far this season and are second place in the AFC East division. Now, they have decided to make a change at the quarterback position. On Wednesday morning, Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced that rookie Nathan Peterman will start at quarterback on Sunday. He will replace Tyrod Taylor, who has been struggling this season. The flailing Bills have lost two straight and find themselves on the outskirts of the AFC playoff picture.“We are in the playoff hunt and we are always focused on becoming the best team possible. We were made for better than 5-4. I’ve been impressed with the maturity from Nathan Peterman. I’m comfortable making a calculated risk to try and get us where we need to go.”McDermott said the move was "about winning now," while acknowledging "Tyrod is part of the reason we are where we are at five wins and in the playoff hunt."Keep in mind that The Bills are coming off an embarrassing 47-10 loss to the Saints. In that game, McDermott pulled Taylor in favor of Peterman and the rookie played well.It should be noted that McDermott said after the game he was sticking with Taylor but apparently after a few days of thought, he’s changed his mind.If the playoffs started today, the Bills would be one of the six teams to make it in the AFC as they own the second Wild Card spot. On Sunday in Los Angeles, Peterman will start against the Chargers."Yes," Taylor said, point blank, when asked if he was shocked by the move. "Disappointed with the decision.Obviously, I don't agree with the decision," Taylor said. "I have to do what's best for the team in my new role and move forward.. All I can do is control the opportunities I get over the rest of the season and deal with that as it comes. ... Whenever you take someone off the field and stop them from competing, it's a tough thing to go through.""Moving forward I have to help him in any shape or form. I want to help this team succeed," Taylor said, noting that "guys are going to look to me even more to see how I respond in this situation."Not only have media members sounded off on this major change but as well as fans, which you can see below:
