Robinho may have enjoyed a hugely successful career, but he will always be remembered by football fans for never reaching his true potential.

Now 33-years-old, he once possessed everything you'd expect from a Brazilian winger: speed, lightning quick feet and the confidence to become the best.

But that never quite transpired. Spells at Real Madrid, Manchester City and AC Milan saw Robinho dazzle and even labelled the next Pele by the man himself.

"Robinho can surpass my own achievements and we have to thank God that another Pele has landed on Santos," said the Brazil legend in the early 2000s.

As the years passed, though, it became clear Robinho was to be another exciting Brazilian talent that couldn't live up to the hype, like Adriano.

Not that he will care much, having played alongside some of football's greatest ever players and won silverware everywhere he's played - bar City.

One of his best teammates has been Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who he played alongside at the San Siro for two years from 2010-2012.

Anyone who's ever played with Ibrahimovic has a story to tell about the Swede and Robinho is no different, as he explained in a recent interview with the Daily Mail.

Zlatan is renowned for his arrogance and when he and Robinho joined Milan in 2010, he showed why that's the case by always saying the same five words.

According to Robinho, the striker used to say: "You're here because of me."

"Zlatan!" began the Brazilian. "He used to say he persuaded the Milan board to sign me. 'You're here because of me'.

"Is he arrogant? Yes. But in a nice way. It's just a confidence and trust in his talent. To me, he is everything a striker should be: a showman and a winner.

"At our training ground, he decided one day to challenge Gennaro Gattuso to a ju-jitsu fight. So you had this ferocious scrapper doing martial arts against Zlatan, who is a black belt.

"Who won? Zlatan! Zlatan always wins."

So typical Zlatan Ibrahimovic to tell a teammate they're only at the club because of him - but players love him for it.

Robinho and Ibra were incredible in their first season together and, alongside fellow Brazilian wonder kid Alexandre Pato, comfortably won Serie A by six points.
