Just like every Manchester United fan, Jose Mourinho is very excited about bringing Zlatan Ibrahimovic back into his team.

Seven months on from rupturing ligaments in his knee against Anderlecht and putting his career at risk, the 'God of Manchester' is close to making a return.

Ibrahimovic has unfinished business at Old Trafford and he's determined to finish what he started before his short-term contract expires next summer.

But Mourinho has urged caution about playing the 36-year-old too soon, saying on Friday that he needs more time to get up to speed.

"He (Ibrahimovic) made a full recovery," said Mourinho, "but you cannot expect him to be ready to play 90 minutes or to be ready to play consecutive matches.

"Now he needs time to be back to his level, his fitness, his confidence, his sharpness, his everything.

"But from the clinical point of view, for him to be good and ready is fantastic."

Mourinho also confirmed Ibrahimovic is available for selection this weekend against Newcastle United, but the question every United fan is asking is how the Swede will be used with Romelu Lukaku now in the picture.

Ibrahimovic recently hinted at playing in the No.10 role, but he's a striker by trade and that's where he's most effective.

So what are the chances of playing Zlatan upfront with Lukaku in a formation that accommodates two strikers? Mourinho was asked that very question on Friday.

And he responded: "Easy. Good players can play together. It's easy."

Just what United fans wanted to hear. Lukaku, 24, has the potential to be world-class and playing alongside Ibrahimovic could be exactly what he needs.

They may be completely different strikers, but if used correctly, they could also form a deadly attacking partnership.

Lukaku would be the more obvious choice to play on the shoulder of defence due to his pace, while Ibrahimovic could float around him, linking up play and creating space.

And let's not forget their height. Lukaku and Ibrahimovic stand at 6ft 3in and 6ft 5in respectively, meaning they'd be a force to be reckoned with from crosses and corners.

Playing them both would require Mourinho to drop one of his current starters, but the Portuguese seems keen and can hardly say no to his two star players.
