Cristiano Ronaldo isn't exactly enjoying his finest season at Real Madrid. The ex-Manchester United is usually prolific in front of goal but has scored just once in La Liga three months deep into the campaign. He's not truly been himself since the Spanish Super Cup when his imperious performance against Barcelona was ended by a lengthly ban for pushing the referee. What better remedy for poor form, though, than a trip to Champions League minnows in mid-week?For all of their swashbuckling European performances in the past, APOEL Nicosia have seriously struggled this season and linger fifth in the Cypriot first division. They proved little trouble for Real Madrid, either, in a savage first-half performance from the visitors.Luka Modric opened the scoring with his first club goal in a year, beating the goalkeeper from range with a looping volley. Nacho then penned his name on the scoresheet by scrambling home from a corner.Karim Benzema even put his own struggles aside with a brace - expressing his gratefulness at ending his goal drought by hugging Zinedine Zidane on the touchline. So no Ronaldo on the scoresheet in a rampant opening 45 minutes but he did provide an assist for Benzema's second strike. You just simply don't see him passing it in better form, though.Check out the video:Ronaldo didn't just have one opportunity to shoot but two, instead opting for some fancy footwork to provide Benzema with an open goal.It certainly sparked some reaction on Twitter:

Is Ronaldo nervous to go alone or simply ensuring a goal at all costs? That's for the fans to decide, yet there can be little doubting that there's something off with CR7 right now.
