Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy has queried the standard of officiating following Tuesday's goalless draw at Bury.

The Shrimps collected three bookings at Gigg Lane and McIlroy was not overly impressed with the efforts of referee Stuart Attwell.

McIlroy said: "The referee made some strange decisions. There were no nasty challenges in the game and we ended up with three bookings. Something has to be done about it. The lads are putting an honest effort in and getting punished for it."
