Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander will again be without a number of players ahead of the home clash with leaders Rochdale.

Left-back Carl Tremarco (hernia), striker Kris Dennis (shin) and defender Paul Morgan (hamstring) are all still out of action due to injury.

Midfielder Hamza Bencherif remains a long-term absentee with a broken ankle and may not feature again this season.

Physio Nick Reid confirmed: "We're still without the same people for this weekend."

Striker Kyle Wilson has extended his loan spell at FC United of Manchester for a second month, although there is a 24-hour recall clause in the deal.

The Silkmen recorded their third successive draw at Grimsby on Tuesday and lie just eight points above the relegation zone.

Rochdale boss Keith Hill may consider recalling midfielder Jason Kennedy to the starting line-up.

Jason Taylor and Gary Jones have started the last three games but Hill may opt to shake things up after Tuesday's shock 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Bradford.

Hill also has plenty of options on the flanks as widemen Will Atkinson, Andy Haworth, Temitope Obadeyi and Kallum Higginbotham are all pushing for starting roles.

Chris Dagnall and Chris O'Grady are set to continue their partnership up front as Dale seek to bounce back from only their second defeat in 15 games.

Hill has no major injury concerns and is refusing to press the panic button after Tuesday's defeat, saying: "We're still averaging two points per game."
