Lincoln boss Chris Sutton could hand a debut to new signing Davide Somma in the home clash against Crewe.
The Leeds forward has joined the Imps on a month-long loan deal and will go straight into the squad at Sincil Bank this weekend.
With Paul Connor still struggling to regain fitness after a hamstring injury and Drewe Broughton (hamstring), Steven Lennon (groin) and Lenell John-Lewis all picking up knocks against Port Vale in midweek, Sutton's strikeforce has been decimated.
Connor will remain out while the other three will be given until the last minute to prove their fitness, although Sutton is not optimistic.
Veteran defender Ian Pearce is nursing a knock from Tuesday night's game but it is hoped he will be fit.
Crewe's leading scorer Calvin Zola has declared himself fit to return.
The 16-goal striker has missed the last three matches after aggravating a hamstring injury in the opening stages of the defeat at Rochdale on February 6.
But he told the club's official website: "I don't think Saturday will come too soon for me. I feel 100% and my aim is to be included in the squad at Lincoln.
"I am confident that the hamstring is fine and that I am ready to return, but the final decision is with the manager."
Zola, along with captain Mat Mitchel-King (back), will probably be included in Dario Gradi's squad if they come through training unscathed on Friday.
However, midfielder Steve Schumacher is likely to remain on the sidelines with his back problem.
