Cheltenham striker Elvis Hammond has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.

The 29-year-old, who initially joined on a short-term contract in November 2008, scored 10 goals in 49 appearances during his time at Whaddon Road.

Manager Mark Yates told the club's official website: "Elvis has got a few things he needs to sort out away from football and because he lives in London it has been difficult for Elvis and ourselves. We have come to an amicable agreement to cancel his contract, which is the best decision for both parties."

He added: "We would like to wish Elvis all the best with everything he does in the future and thank him for the service he has given to the club."
