Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll says he reluctantly agreed to let striker Lewis Guy join Oldham on a one-month loan.

The Latics were keen to bolster their strikeforce following injury to on-loan Blackpool forward Daniel Nardiello.

O'Driscoll said: "The move will get Lewis some games in what is a busy part of the season. We could have done with keeping him but he's not played and you have to be fair to the player.

"They have a game at Stockport on Tuesday and he will be signing the forms after training and meet up with Oldham's squad."

Guy, 24, is hoping to make his debut for the League One outfit at Edgeley Park.
