When it aired on a weekly basis, Talking Smack provided superstars each week with another platform to connect with the fans on the WWE Network, and some superstars grabbed the opportunity with two hands and ran with it.

One of those superstars is The Miz, who famously delivered one of the show's, as well as one of the best promos the WWE has ever seen in recent years when he appeared on Talking Smack back in August 2016.

During his promo, SmackDown general manager Daniel Bryan criticised The Awesome One for wrestling like a coward, which caused him to respond and bring up The King of Beards' injury history because of his wrestling style and his wrestling career.

The Miz stated in his promo that he was the one wrestling week in, week out, unlike Bryan. During a recent interview with WWE, The Miz revealed the real trigger for him going off and delivering an amazing promo on Talking Smack.

The Awesome One revealed he was angry on Talking Smack because creative had nothing for him on the SmackDown Live event before the network show, despite the fact he was Intercontinental Champion at the time, stating that they didn't have room for him on the card.

The Miz said, according to Wrestling Inc: "There were a lot of emotions going on here. This wasn't just to Daniel; this was like, to everyone. I unleashed a lot because Creative had nothing for me that day, and I went, 'What?' They were like 'Yeah, you're not on the show tonight.' What do you mean I'm not on the show? I'm the Intercontinental Champion.

"They were like, 'Yeah, but we're introducing new titles, we're introducing the new Tag Team Titles and the new SmackDown Women's Title, and so, we don't have room for the Intercontinental Championship.'

"I was like 'Wait a second, you're introducing new titles, but what about the rich history of this title? The title that you guys just keep throwing back, and throwing back, and throwing back. Burying it, burying it, and burying it, and I'm sick [of it].' I was so aggravated, I was so sick of it. And I was like, 'Put me on Talking Smack tonight, I'm going to unleash havoc on everything and everyone.'"

This Talking Smack promo ended up doing wonders for The Miz, as he received much praise for it and a bigger push than what he was already receiving. He is now considered one of the best heels in the WWE today and this promo is prime evidence of that.
