Manchester United's players only have themselves to blame following Saturday night's late capitulation against Leicester City.

Having gone 1-0 down at the King Power Stadium, the Red Devils fought back to take a 2-1 lead thanks to Juan Mata's fantastic brace.

But it should have been more. Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard both wasted golden opportunities during the game when they ought to have found the back of the net.

Romelu Lukaku was the supplier on both occasions, with Lingard being put through one-on-one, taking it round Kasper Schmeichel but then hitting the post.

It wasn't just poor finishing that let down Jose Mourinho's men, though. Leicester's equaliser came in the 94th minute and it was the result of some shoddy defending.

When Marc Albrighton crossed into the box, an injured Chris Smalling was unable to prevent Harry Maguire from prodding home and making it 2-2.

Smalling should have never been marking Leicester's biggest player given he was unable to jump, yet his United teammates did nothing about it.

Mourinho has since described the performance as "childish", saying: "I don't know [how we didn't win]. We didn't win because we missed incredible chances.

"And then in the last second of the game we make a big defensive mistake. It is an accumulation of mistakes in an easy match to win.

"Sometimes you make mistakes and you are not punished, but we were punished. It was childish in their box and childish in our box."

A bad day all round for United, then, but football fans have noticed something about the game that makes the draw even more embarrassing.

In the 62nd minute, moments after Mata's sweet free-kick made it 2-1 United, the away fans could be heard sarcastically chanting: "Park the Bus, Man United."

It's in reference to what City players sung in the dressing room following their 4-1 win over Tottenham last weekend, which United fans also chanted during their 2-1 win against West Brom.

On this occasion, however, it massively backfired. Leicester went down to 10 men shortly after the "Park the Bus" chants but ended up equalising through Maguire with seconds remaining.

This is despite United literally parking the bus; Mourinho put everyone behind the ball but they still couldn't hold on with a one-man advantage. Here's how Twitter reacted.
