After years of asking, WWE fans finally got their wish when Stephanie McMahon revealed on Monday Night RAW that the women were finally getting a Royal Rumble match of their own.

This announcement is the latest in a long line of barriers that the WWE has knocked down in recent times. Ranging from main event slots, to a Hell in a Cell and a Money in the Bank stipulation.

ROYAL RUMBLE

To make matters even more interesting, WWE isn't planning on knocking down a few numbers either. It's being claimed that the women will also get the full 30 entrants, which means we'll be seeing current main roster stars, NXT athletes along with the odd former star making an appearance in the match.

Understandably, all of the focus right now is on Ronda Rousey and the rumours that she could finally make her debut in the match and set up a huge WrestleMania 34 content in New Orleans just a few months later.

Whether that happens, though, remains to be seen. Especially since you have dangerous athletes like Asuka still in there who will be looking to make an impact.

Everybody has their picks and favourites, and current RAW general manager Kurt Angle is no different.

As usual, the Olympic gold medallist hosted a Q&A session on his official Facebook account where he discussed a wide range of topics.

PREDICTION

He shared his disappointment at The Shield reunion being delayed again, now because of the injury sustained by Dean Ambrose. While he also believed the best match of 2017 was the Survivor Series encounter between Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles.

When asked about who he thinks is going to be the first ever winner of the women's Royal Rumble match, he didn't even hesitate in giving an answer and didn't try to get out of it.

He thinks Nia Jax is going to walk out victorious.

He simply posted: "Nia Jax. Need I explain why?"

It's clear that he feels Nia's size advantage could be the key difference, and it's certainly a brilliant way to finally transition her into a main event role where she can finally contend for a championship.

But if rumours are anything to go by, this won't be her year.
