Arsenal are facing yet another uphill task to get into the top four in the Premier League.

The Gunners are currently in sixth place after a run of just one win in their last five, a 1-0 win against Newcastle, and they will be at least five points off fourth place before they travel to Crystal Palace on Thursday.

Their away form has been the major stumbling block, taking only nine points from as many matches, which leaves them staring at the real possibility of another season without Champions League football.

Undoubtedly, the uncertainty over the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil has been a massive hindrance, with both players looking set to leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of the season.

Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, as he wants to be reunited with former boss Pep Guardiola, while Ozil could be set to join Manchester United.

It does appear as though there is no way back for either of the players, though Ozil has displayed excellent form in recent weeks.

Arsenal, therefore, must look at replacements, and they have reportedly been given a boost in their pursuit of one European star.

With the wealth of talent at Paris Saint-Germain's disposal, it is no surprise that some big names are being pushed to the exit.

One of those players is Julian Draxler, and the Sun say that Arsenal have been quoted £40m by the French club to secure his services.

The German international has only started ten matches this term for PSG, with Kylian Mbappé and Neymar occupying his preferred spots on the wing.

In that time, he has scored twice and added three assists, but the lack of regular game time obviously makes it harder to build form and confidence.

Arsenal see him as the ideal replacement for Sanchez, and the £40m fee could represent a bargain in the next few years if the 24-year-old can deliver his best form.

Draxler is reportedly open to the move, and we could be seeing him at the Emirates next month if Wenger gets his way.

The move should go some way to appeasing the Arsenal fans who are hugely dissatisfied with the way Ozil and Sanchez's contracts have been handled.
