There can be few sportsmen in the world who are as respected and loved as Indian great MS Dhoni.

Revered by cricket fans all over the world the wicketkeeper showed his class again on Sunday by dispensing post-match advice to Sri Lankan players after they had just been whitewashed by the Indians in their recent T20 series.

In a video that has since gone viral, as post-match interviews were being conducted, Dhoni was spotted in conversation with Sri Lankan stars Upul Tharanga, Akila Dhananjaya and Sadeera Samarawickrama and was clearly seen to be discussing the finer points of the game with the spellbound trio.

The awestruck Sri Lankans were noticeably hanging on his every word as he casually imparted some batting tips with accompanying demonstration - scroll down the video.

Dhoni, widely regarded as one of the finest limited overs batsmen in the game has had a remarkable career, studded with success and garlanded with superstar status yet he has remained humble and self-effacing and is still very much in love with the game that has brought him such fame and fortune.

The iconic wicketkeeper now entering the latter stages of his international career has remained pivotal to his sides success in limited overs cricket and has received the backing of chairman of selectors MK Prasad who has declared him the 'number one wicketkeeper in the world.'

Dhoni coaches young Sri Lankans:

Prasad outlined the attributes that make Dhoni such an exceptional wicketkeeper:

"Day in and day out we have been seeing, even in the current T20 series [against Sri Lanka] the stumpings that he does, the caught-behinds that he takes are phenomenal, there is no comparison. I don't see any wicketkeeper, who is even close to him in world cricket, forget Indian cricket."

As the Indian team builds up to the 2019 World Cup it is clear that Dhoni will remain integral to their hopes of reclaiming the title he last led them to in 2011 with an unforgettable 91 not out against recent opponents Sri Lanka.
