If you watched last night's (Mon. December 25, 2017) episode of Monday Night RAW, you saw a nasty injury take place after a stiff move occurred inside the ring.
During the first hour of RAW's special Christmas Day broadcast on the USA Network, a Cruiserweight match-up took place between NXT call-up Hideo Itami and former Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick.
The pair went head-to-head in singles competition just a week after Itami made his main roster debut, winning a tag team match with Finn Balor against The Miztourage. Itami took home the victory over Kendrick after hitting his finisher - the Go To Sleep (GTS).
Itami has been using the GTS for years, however, it was made famous by former WWE Champion CM Punk, who's hometown is in Chicago, Illinois - which is where RAW took place from last night. When Itami hit the GTS for the three count, however, fans could instantly see there was something wrong.
Immediately after hitting the canvas, Kendrick began grabbing his nose area after seemingly getting legitimately hit with Itami's knee. Even as Itami was on top of Kendrick for the pinfall, Kendrick did not remove his hand from his face area.
Per a report from PWInsider, Kendrick was actually taken to a local hospital after his match with Itami to get check out for a potential injury, however, there is currently no word on wether or not he suffered anything of significance.
Kendrick is a very important player in the WWE world, not only being one of the top Cruiserweights on the WWE roster, but the company often sends talents to him to get trained when they're being groomed to be top stars.
He has trained the likes of Eva Marie, who was primed for a big push during her main roster run before leaving the company, and was also rumored to have been involved in former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey's professional wrestling training.
What are your thoughts on Kendrick being sent to the hospital after eating that stiff GTS on Monday Night RAW last night? Do you think that Kendrick suffered any serious injury after the move?
