UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is one of the baddest men on the planet, and former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre's camp recognizes it.

The 155-pound champ hasn't competed since November of 2016 when he captured the lightweight throne from Eddie Alvarez via second round knockout in the main event of UFC 205 from Madison Square Garden. Since then, "The Notorious One" has taken time off to enjoy the birth of his first child.

He has also taken a walk into the boxing world and competed against, arguably, the greatest boxer of all time in Floyd Mayweather Jr. Unfortunately for McGregor, he would gas out in the latter portion of the fight and was finished via 10th round TKO.

Despite the loss, McGregor is still recognized as one of the most fierce competitors in the mixed martial arts (MMA) world. The Irishman has won 18 of his 21 career MMA victories via TKO or KO, with the exception of decision wins over Max Holloway and Nate Diaz.

With talk of McGregor's UFC return dominating the MMA world, a possible match-up with Georges St-Pierre has been much discussed as a possible dream fight. Firas Zahabi, St-Pierre's longtime coach and friend, recently commented on the possibility.

During an interview with Express Sport, Zahabi said that McGregor has the "touch of death" and a bout between he and "Rush" would be phenomenal (quotes via MMA Mania):

"He’s got the touch of death in his hands,” Zahabi told Express Sport. “So I think him and Georges would be a phenomenal fight.

"It would probably be the biggest fight in UFC history and MMA history and that record wouldn’t be broken for ten years. So why not do it?"
