Dagenham came from a goal behind to end resurgent Macclesfield Town's three-game unbeaten run with a 3-1 win at Victoria Road.

Lee Bell's long-range strike put the visitors ahead, but Danny Green scored two and made another to secure three points for the hosts.

In front of their biggest crowd of the season, Dagenham started well and Peter Gain missed an open goal before Paul Benson's header was punched over by Jonny Brain.

Yet it was Macclesfield who went ahead after 31 minutes as a corner was cleared as far as Lee Bell 35 yards out and his volley went under the body of goalkeeper Tony Roberts and into the net.

After the break, the home side cranked up the pressure and they drew level in the 50th minute after the Silkmen failed to clear their lines.

Yoann Folly hit the bar, but Scott Doe picked up the rebound and found Green, who netted with an angled drive.

Benson thought he had put Dagenham in front when he tapped home from close range after Josh Scott's strike had hit the post, but the goal was ruled out for handball.

Benson also put a free header wide before the Daggers eventually took the lead in the 71st minute, Abu Ogogo volleying home Green's pinpoint cross.

John Still's men put the icing on the cake with three minutes to go, Green sending a superb volley with the outside of his right foot into the top corner.
