There is absolutely no question that Mohamed Salah has been the signing of the season so far.

The Egyptian flattered to deceive during his spell at Chelsea a few years ago, meaning a few question marks were raised when Liverpool decided to shell out £35 million for his services in the summer.

But that signing has proven to be a masterstroke, with the Egyptian already netting an incredible 21 times for his club so far this season.

He has been so good, that Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is convinced that the winger is a Premier League great in the making.

Speaking on Sky Sports last month, Carragher said: "Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg and Ryan Giggs at times for Manchester United were wide players who made those runs that Salah is making across defenders, running in behind.

"You think of the great goal-scoring wingers and if he is here for three or four years he's on the verge of eclipsing them all."

SALAH NAMES HIS FAVOURITE GOAL OF THE SEASON SO FAR

Salah recently reflected on a selection of his best Liverpool goals so far this season, but he was adamant that his favourite goal came against bitter rivals, Everton.

"This one is special," Salah said of his Merseyside curler. "It had power, skill, finishing. I choose this one as my best goal so far."

With the deadlock yet to be broken at Anfield, Salah picked up the ball on the edge of the box, but with his back to goal, it looked as if there was not too much threat.

But the Egyptian beat Cuco Martina with a lovely drag-back and then skipped past Idrissa Gueye, before unleashing an unstoppable effort into the top corner from a tight angle. What a goal.

SALAH REFLECTS ON HIS OTHER IMPORTANT GOALS

Salah also claimed his double against Stoke, after starting on the bench, was another 'special game' for him.

He explained, "That game was special. You are on the bench and then you go on to score two goals to help the team with a good result."

And Salah also stated his goal against Arsenal was also a goal he remembers fondly. He continued: "To score against Arsenal in a big game, a big team, and the way I scored – I like it. Speed on the counter-attack.

"I missed some chances before but this one was good, and that’s the most important thing!"
