It was hyped up for months but the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor failed to live up to the expectations.Mayweather made it 50-0 with relative ease stopping the MMA superstar in the 10th round. In the build-up, it appeared that the two had a genuine hatred for each other during the pre-fight press conferences. But there was nothing but respect afterward and the American paid tribute to the Irishman."He’s a lot better than I thought he was ... he used different angles," Mayweather said."But I was the better man ... It was our gameplan to take our time and take him out down the stretch.

"That was my last fight. Tonight I chose the right dance partner. Conor you were a great dance partner tonight."

But it seems it wasn’t all respect between the pair.

We’ve already seen McGregor had a giant mural of him punching Mayweather in the face ahead of the fight.

And it seems the undefeated boxer also tried envisaging punching his opponent in the face ahead of the bout. In fact, he was literally punching him in the face.

That’s because a punchbag has been spotted in Mayweather’s gym with McGregor’s face on it. Chamatkar Sandu, a freelance reporter, spotted it and the image has since gone viral.

MCGREGOR COULD RETURN TO BOXING

While it doesn’t seem Mayweather will return to boxing, there’s chance McGregor might with a fight with Manny Pacquiao on the cards.

Pacquiao recently admitted that his representatives have already reached out to the UFC champion ahead of a potential fight.

“If we can negotiate it, I have no problem. It is OK with both of us,” he said. “[Talks?] Initially, but we have not yet had any follow-up conversations.”

Pacquiao also tweeted McGregor on Thanksgiving, writing: "Happy Thanksgiving @TheNotoriousMMA Stay fit my friend. #realboxingmatch #2018"
