The deal will go through once the transfer window re-opens on January 1.The news of Liverpool's most recent purchase has reached the ears of one former WWE superstar, as he decided that he would troll the fans of the English football club by pretending to be the footballer himself. The star in question? Virgil. That's right, the former WWF and WCW star, as well as Ted DiBiase's bodyguard, decided to take advantage of having the same first name as Virgil van Dijk and use it to troll Liverpool fans on Twitter. The former Million Dollar Champion trolled Liverpool fans by changing his profile picture to a photo of their new defender, as well as sending out several tweets related to the move, and a couple of jokes too. Here are just a few of the tweets which he sent out on his Twitter account while posing as Virgil van Dijk.

Virgil is best known for his time in the WWE during the late 1980s as Ted DiBiase's bodyguard, as well as the only wrestler to have won the Million Dollar Championship in a match, which he achieved at SummerSlam in 1991. He was also "Head of Security" for the nWo during his time with WCW.

His last WWE appearance came in 2010, although many are expecting him to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame sometime soon. He could appear as part of the Raw 25th anniversary next month if WWE wanted to bring him back, but that's just speculation at the moment.

One thing's for certain, he isn't going to be in the starting lineup for Liverpool FC in January.
