This weekend one of the biggest fights of the year will be taking place in the UFC as featherweight champion Cris Cyborg takes on former UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm.

Holm earned her claim to fame by becoming the first woman in MMA history to defeat Ronda Rousey. "The Preacher's Daughter" unleashed a hellacious head-kick in the second round of she and Rousey's 2015 match-up in November that knocked "The Rowdy One" unconscious.

She also participated in the inaugural women's featherweight title fight against Germaine De Randamie, however, Holm lost that fight via a controversial decision.

Now she's looking to make history yet again, by becoming the first woman to defeat Cyborg since her MMA debut.

Cyborg is recognized as one of the most fierce knockout artists in MMA history and is essentially taking on her first top-tier competition in her career.

If she's able to get past Holly Holm and defend her title, she'll have a legitimate claim to being named the best female fighter of all time.

The Brazilian recently spoke to reporters to promote her fight with Holm this weekend, and teased a completely different game-plan for Holm than she usually implicates (quotes via MMA Fighting):

“We don’t know what’s going to happen,” Cyborg told reporters Tuesday. “It’s going to be an amazing fight and I need to be prepared for everything.

“Everyone’s style is different, but I have a lot of things in my game the people don’t know,” Cyborg said. “I’m a two-time world champion in jiu-jitsu, I can try to submit you.

“Miesha already showed the way,” Cyborg said.

“You know, I can stand up, I can KO her, I have a lot of things I can do, and yet I’m not surprised, I’m getting better each time with my game, and I can show a little bit about my game for all my fans, they can see a different Cyborg. It’s not just KO and trading.

“I respect all my opponents,” Cyborg said. “I know Holly is going to be a big challenge for me because her game is very different. But I’ve been training a lot and I’m ready.”

What are your thoughts on a possible change in style from Cyborg this weekend against Holly Holm? Do you think that Cyborg could be looking to take this fight to the ground and submit Holm similar to the way Miesha Tate did? Or will she stand her ground and try and knock "The Preacher's Daughter" out? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
