He may have cost them £75 million, but Liverpool have just signed a top-class centre-back in Virgil van Dijk - just ask anyone he used to work with at Celtic.
Four years ago in 2013, the Dutchman was brought to Celtic Park from Groningen as an exciting youngster for £2.6 million.
Two years later he was shipped to Southampton for five times that amount and now he's become football's most expensive ever defender.
Liverpool fans are very excited by what the future holds with Van Dijk and rightly so considering the quality he will add to their defence.
Fast, strong and composed, the 26-year-old has the makings of a world-class defender and now has the perfect manager to develop under.
He's due to complete his move to Liverpool on New Year's Day, so until then, Kopites will undoubtedly be watching videos of the Netherlands international in action.
Well look no further, because a player analysis montage has emerged on YouTube showing exactly what Van Dijk will bring to Liverpool.
In fact, the video suggests his pace could be a secret weapon for the Reds at the back.
Van Dijk is very tall at 6' 4", but he's deceivingly quick and able to burst past opponents with the ball to create space and start counter attacks. Check out some of his runs from 1:10.
PACE FOR DAYS
Something tells me £75 million will end up being a bargain for Van Dijk.
Ex-Celtic scouts Neil McGuinness and David Moss always knew the Dutchman was destined for big things and now they've explained what kind of player Liverpool have signed.
McGuinness said: "Virgil is everything you would want if you could create a profile of the ideal central defender.
"He is tall, imposing and strong in his aerial challenges, both in attack and defence. He has no problem with the physical side of the game and likes to dominate his opponents.
"Technically he is a smooth, ball-playing defender which is something Liverpool have lacked in recent years."
And Moss added: "I used to say to Premier League clubs: 'Van Dijk is a man playing in a playground against kids, he stands out so much'.
"He's 6' 4", can ping it from one end of the field to the other, can head it, scores goals, is quick... he's got everything."
