Holly Holm is one of the most successful female combat sports competitors in history, and there seems to be a demand for her to return to the world of boxing.

Holm previously competed as a boxer for 11 years from the years of 2002 to 2013, when she made the transition to mixed martial arts (MMA). "The Preacher's Daughter" won world titles in three different weight classes during her time in the squared circle.

Now she has established herself as one of the most dominant fighters in the MMA world, becoming the first woman to defeat Ronda Rousey in MMA competition back in November of 2015 via head-kick knockout.

The 36-year-old is currently preparing for her fight with UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg at UFC 219 on pay-per-view (PPV).

If she wins she'll become the first woman to defeat Cyborg in several years and also become the first woman in UFC history to have won titles in multiple weight classes in the promotion.

Over in the female boxing world, 31-year-old WBA women’s lightweight champion Katie Taylor has built quite the following in the United Kingdom.

There seems to be interest in a fight between Taylor and Holm in the squared circle, but the former UFC women's bantamweight champion recently declined having any interest in the possibility and instead remained adamant on staying in MMA (quotes via Boxing Scene):

“I don’t feel the passion to box anymore,” Holm said, according to London’s Daily Mirror. “I never want to offend anyone from the boxing world.

"I, 100 percent, am so grateful for my entire career in boxing. The reason why I came to MMA is because this is where my passion is now.

"So I wouldn’t go back just to say I could or would, because that’s not really what I’m passionate about right now.

"Right now, I’m telling you, I just don’t have a passion for boxing. It’s just not where my heart’s at.”

What are your thoughts on Holly Holm not having much interest in returning to the boxing world after all of her success in MMA? Do you think that Holm could return to boxing as a successful championship-calibre competitor again? Or should she remain in MMA and continue her legacy inside of the Octagon?
