If everybody wasn't talking about Alexis Sanchez's situation at Arsenal with the January transfer window approaching, they certainly are following his two-goal haul against Crystal Palace during the week. The Chilean has just six months remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and it's no secret that runaway Premier League leaders, Manchester City, are desperate to facilitate a reunion with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.Following his brace at Selhurst Park, plenty of fans noticed that the majority of Sanchez's teammates neglected the chance to celebrate with the 29-year-old and that has sparked rumours of a split in the Gunners dressing room.Jack Wilshere is said to have given Sanchez a piece of his mind after another nondescript display against Southampton earlier in December and other reports state the players want Sanchez sold in January.Well, one player who has not excluded Sanchez from the banter is Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny. In a post directed at his teammates who would be going to the World Cup in Russia next summer, Elneny took what some might interpret as an untimely dig at Sanchez who failed to guide Chile to the finals. Take a look:

Ouch! Way to kick a man while he's down.

As far as Arsenal are concerned, club legend Thierry Henry cannot understand how they have let the contracts of Sanchez and Mesut Ozil come this close to expiring.

He told Sky Sports: "We are talking about something they created themselves. You are going to miss Sanchez if he leaves and you are going to miss Ozil, because they are quality players.

"Now, are you not going to get any money for them either? If something is coming now, you have to at least get some money, because you are going to lose them anyway at the end.

"They haven't signed new contracts yet, that is something we are sure about. So you are not going to get money for them if they leave at the end of the season. So it's a double punishment."

Henry sounds like just about every other confused Arsenal fan right now!

Twitter, on the other hand, loved Elneny's tweet:
